Hello and Welcome
It is a very proud moment for me today that someone is actually reading my words, just for the sake of, well, reading my words. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting with me, and shed the smallest of light on what it is that I am trying to accomplish. True, this will be just a small glimpse, because as of today, that is all that I have. I guess somewhere in my mind there is an image that might represent a finished product, but the truth is, we will probably not know until we are there. We are going where the wind takes us. If you follow me on social media, you kind of know already that I am all over the place.
There are a few things that might help you make sense of what you will find here. Here is a short list:
- I am a fan of the written word. By reading words YOU get to decide the voice of the writer. YOU get to digest what is written and form your OWN opinions. YOU can use YOUR own brain.
- I would rather not have to endure the daily world through a series of video clips that buffer and then fail to deliver the anticipated result.
- I want more than the daily list. “20 best this” and “top ten that” and “500 widgets rated.”
- My opinions are my own but I am not afraid to listen to a rational argument and have been known to change my stance if the evidence so warrants.
- It is my own site, my freedom of speech will not be threatened by hired underlings who might relegate me to “Censorship Jail.”
Hopefully, you are still here. While my content might bounce from place to place, here is a general idea of what you might read about in future posts:
- Motorcycle trips. My wife Melissa and I are on our third bike and have logged about 15,000 miles on two wheels in the last 9 months. When we aren’t riding, we are planning the next trip.
- The life and times of Kanye B. West, Loretta Lynn Bracey, and Betty Wright Bracey. These are our rescue dogs. They rescued us in 2017 – 2018. (You will see a lot of them)
- Food. Currently, I’m fat and I love to cook and I love to eat. Our Motorcycle trips almost always include a good meal along the way.
- Life. I will share things that are going on in my life, family, community, region, country, and world. We all experience Wins and Losses in our lives, and sometimes, the on-line community helps.
- Heaping doses of my opinion. After all, it is called the ONE-man-think-tank, for a reason.
- Oh Yeah. I’m from the South which means among other things, I will give praise to my Lord and Saviour and I will ask for and honor requests for Prayer.
- I do enjoy the adult beverage, though never intentionally to excess.
- Lots more.
So, I plead, beg, hope, and pray that you will enjoy this site. Obviously, I hope you bookmark me and make this your first stop each day on the INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY. Or at least your first stop after checking email, checking Facebook, and checking out the Arrest Docket. OK, I can be your 4th stop. There will be comment and suggestion forms as soon as I learn how to set them up. Bear with me, as I will make a ton of mistakes here I’m sure. I’m forgetting something important here I know, but hopefully, I’ll cover it soon.
