Trouble

I am taking a break from what has become a line of deep offerings from yours truly to bring a more traditional “blog” post. Truthfully, I’m a fan of deep thought and prefer the challenge of writing from that point-of-view, but there are times when the white noise and the static of everyday life just block the deep channels. I fail to find and open that rich vein, the one where the thoughts form and the words flow fast and with meaning.

I love a good phrase. If I find one that speaks to me, then it is one that I use forever. The cool thing is that to those close to me, after a while, need no preamble and can relate solely on the phrase and make the jump to how it relates to the situation. It is then and only then that it becomes one for the DBeazy Hall-of-Fame. There is no better compliment to me when a friend applies one of my “Donny-isms” in a real-life situation.

If you know me, then you have heard me say, “Could be Trouble Trigger.” I may have uttered it after making a big bet in a poker hand and get three calls immediately, or I may have jokingly said it when a good looking lady walks by. As I said, you have to know DBeazy.

What you probably don’t know though, is how often I mutter these words in my day-to-day life. Almost anything can “trigger” it, no pun intended.  Folks, daily, we are faced with the consequences of life that place directly before the task. These are the times, in my opinion, where life decisions are made. Like Robert Johnson at the crossroads, we can choose this path or that, but there is usually that inner voice that warns us when we are about to screw up. The only difference for me is, my inner voice sounds like Roy Rogers talking to Trigger.
